CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — June 29, 2022—Mavendog recently welcomed two new members of its team through its participation with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program. This summer, Mavendog welcomes Maj. Clinton “Clint” Woods and Capt. Charles B. Sieber. This past month, they both concluded the final chapter of their Marine Corps journey. Maj. Woods retired this July after 20-years of service. Capt. Sieber completed his Active Duty service in June. Semper Fidelis!
We are honored to have these incredible Marines in our Mavendog ranks, where they will spend six months with us as project managers, learning how to translate their skills to the corporate sector.
Mr. Woods holds his Master of Science in Information Systems Project Management. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (LSSYB). His military experience encompasses 19+ years in organizational change, project management, and information technology, particularly in IT infrastructure. He has supported medium to large-scale, high-pressure projects and roles.
Mr. Sieber is a project and process leader with an eye toward production and process efficiency. He holds certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Six Sigma (LSSGB). Mr. Sieber has hands-on experience in several domains, including supply chain logistics; heavy machinery/equipment, support, and mobilization; construction and safety protocols; and resource and facilities management.
Veterans are a big part of the Mavendog consultant-recruiting model. Whether the Veteran has just left the Military; has been out for a while; or is still serving through the Guard or Reserve, he or she is a natural fit with the Mavendog culture. Through the SkillBridge program, Mavendog can further honor that commitment.
The SkillsBridge program provides Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard Service members (including military spouses) with the opportunity to successfully transition into the civilian workforce. Service members have the chance to be released from duty up to six months before their date of separation. They serve in a fellowship arrangement, receiving on-the-job training and work opportunities with a civilian company and industry of their choosing. As described in the SkillsBridge program overview, “When mission permits, [Unit] Commanders who support SkillBridge participation are helping their personnel transition more seamlessly from service to a civilian career.” For Mavendog, the firm benefits by gaining earlier access to the extensive experience, skills, and unmatched work ethic that a Service member traditionally brings to the firm and its flex project delivery model.
If you are a Service member nearing retirement, are interested in the SkillsBridge program, and are interested in working with Mavendog, please contact us. Mavendog also encourages you to discuss with the respective Educational Offices and Counselors of your Unit.
