Who's really running your ERP implementation?
Relying solely on your systems integrator to lead your ERP program puts your investment at risk. Independent delivery leadership isn’t a luxury.
It’s a necessity.

Your systems integrator shouldn’t be running your ERP program.
Systems integrators bring the technical expertise to implement your ERP platform. But their job is to deliver the technology, not lead your entire enterprise program. Putting them in charge of both is simply too risky. Your organization needs independent leadership to manage business priorities, coordinate internal teams, and hold implementation partners accountable.
Mavendog provides hands-on enterprise delivery leadership to lead your ERP program from its inception, through integrator selection, implementation, go-live, and stabilization. We coordinate internal teams and external delivery partners, maintain accountability, and protect your business interests throughout.
ERP Programs We Support

Planning & Selection
Successful ERP programs begin long before an implementation partner is selected. We help define business requirements, evaluate ERP platforms and systems integrators, structure the overall program, and prepare organizations for successful implementation.

Implementation
Implementing or modernizing an ERP platform impacts business processes, technology, people, and daily operations. We lead implementations, legacy system replacements, upgrades, and rollouts while coordinating delivery partners and maintaining operational continuity.

Mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise restructuring often require integrating or consolidating disparate ERP environments. We help lead system consolidation, data migration, process harmonization, and business transitions while minimizing disruption to ongoing operation.
Where We Lead Execution
You may have selected your ERP platform and hired a systems integrator. But who is coordinating the broader implementation, protecting your interests, and holding everyone accountable?
That’s where Mavendog comes in:
An ERP implementation is an enterprise business initiative, not simply a technology deployment. We establish the program structure, priorities, and execution discipline before your systems integrator begins implementation.
- Business requirements, objectives, and implementation scope
- ERP program structure, governance, and decision authority
- Master program plans, milestones, and delivery sequencing
- Internal resource planning and organizational responsibilities
- Budget development, cost tracking, and scope management
- Program risks, dependencies, and readiness assessments
Choosing the right ERP platform and implementation partner requires independent judgment. We represent your interests throughout the evaluation process, without a financial stake in which technology or integrator you select.
- Business and functional requirements development
- ERP platform evaluation and selection support
- Systems integrator sourcing and evaluation
- RFP development, vendor demonstrations, and scoring
- Implementation approach, scope, and resource assessments
- Vendor selection recommendations and decision support
Your systems integrator has its own deliverables, timelines, and commercial interests. We lead the broader implementation on your behalf, directing execution and holding every delivery partner accountable.
- Enterprise ERP program leadership and daily execution
- Systems integrator management and delivery accountability
- Integrated schedules, milestones, and critical-path management
- Cross-functional workstream coordination and dependencies
- Scope, budget, risk, and issue management
- Executive reporting, governance, and escalation
ERP implementations reach across business functions, legacy systems, and operational processes. We coordinate the work beyond the integrator’s technical scope so the entire organization is prepared for the transition.
- Cross-functional business process coordination
- Legacy system integration and retirement planning
- Data migration, conversion, and validation oversight
- Interface and third-party system dependency management
- Business process changes and operational impact assessments
- Coordination between functional teams and technical partners
A systems integrator may declare the technology ready, but your business must be ready too. We independently manage the broader readiness effort, challenge unresolved risks, and coordinate the transition into production.
- Integrated testing strategy, planning, and coordination
- Business acceptance testing and defect resolution oversight
- Cutover planning, sequencing, and execution management
- Business readiness and operational continuity assessments
- Go-live decision criteria and executive recommendations
- Issue escalation and contingency planning
Going live isn’t the finish line. We help ensure the organization can operate effectively on the new platform, resolve outstanding issues, and transition from implementation to sustainable business operations.
- Post-go-live stabilization and issue management
- Business adoption and organizational readiness coordination
- Operational support transition and ownership
- Outstanding defect and enhancement prioritization
- Performance monitoring and process improvement coordination
- Program closure and transition to steady-state operations

Standardizing Financial Operations Across North America & Europe
Confidential Global Building Products Manufacturer
The Challenge
A global building products manufacturer undertook a multinational financial transformation to standardize financial processes, reporting, and controls across its North American and European operations.
The program involved SAP Central Finance and related financial applications, including Basware, across 16 business entities in the United States, Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Its scope encompassed general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and indirect procurement.
Coordinating financial modernization across these entities required accommodating different operating practices, regional compliance requirements, ERP integrations, and data dependencies while establishing more consistent financial processes. The phased deployment demanded coordinated execution across Finance, IT, business operations, and external technology partners.
Mavendog's Role
Mavendog provided dedicated senior program leadership for the continued phased deployment of SAP Central Finance, supporting North American activities and subsequent expansion into European operations.
- Multinational Program Planning & Regional Deployment: Mavendog's delivery leadership was responsible for managing the overall deployment plan, defining workstreams and milestones, coordinating regional rollout sequencing, and addressing dependencies between financial processes, ERP applications, and business entities. The program required balancing global standardization objectives with regional operating and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Execution & Implementation Partner Management: Our consultant was responsible for driving day-to-day program execution, managing risks, issues, costs, and dependencies, and coordinating Finance, IT, and external delivery partners. Responsibilities also included maintaining executive visibility, facilitating decisions, and monitoring implementation commitments across participating workstreams.
- Financial Integration, Cutover & Operational Readiness: The engagement's delivery scope extended into data migration and validation, integration testing, cutover planning, business readiness, and post-deployment stabilization. These activities required coordinating technical deployment milestones with the operational requirements of the affected finance organizations.
The broader financial transformation identified $1.85 million in annualized business benefits associated with standardized, more efficient, and better-controlled financial operations. The initiative illustrates the complexity of multinational ERP-integrated finance deployments and the importance of dedicated client-side delivery leadership.

Modernizing Inventory Management Across a Manufacturing Enterprise
Confidential Global Building Products Manufacturer
The Challenge
A global building products manufacturer undertook a major initiative to improve inventory accuracy and cycle-counting capabilities within its established enterprise resource planning environment.
The organization operated a heavily customized, legacy ERP platform supporting much of its North American manufacturing footprint, encompassing more than 30 plant locations. Improving inventory management within this environment involved more than enhancing software functionality. New capabilities needed to accommodate manufacturing operations, existing business processes, and the practical requirements of conducting regular inventory checks.
The initiative began with a pilot and progressed into a phased deployment program across multiple plant sites. The manufacturer needed dedicated project leadership to manage the implementation, coordinate operational and technology stakeholders, and maintain execution discipline as the program evolved.
Mavendog's Role
Mavendog provided dedicated project leadership across successive phases of the inventory accuracy and cycle-counting initiative.
- ERP Inventory Accuracy Pilot: Mavendog was engaged to oversee the initial pilot introducing improved inventory management and cycle-counting capabilities within the manufacturer's existing ERP environment. Our project leader was responsible for establishing the project plan, coordinating implementation activities, managing dependencies, and keeping business and technology participants focused on pilot objectives.
- Phased Deployment & Program Execution: As the initiative advanced beyond its original pilot, Mavendog continued providing leadership for the phased deployment program. Responsibilities included ownership of the program schedule and roadmap, day-to-day execution management, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, cost management, and communication with business sponsors. Our leadership also supported the program's transition toward an Agile delivery framework, including associated coaching and execution practices.
The successive engagements reflect the continuing importance of disciplined execution in a manufacturing environment where ERP enhancements must accommodate established operations and plant-level requirements.

Guiding Enterprise ERP Modernization for Municipal Government
Confidential Major U.S. Municipality
The Challenge
A major U.S. municipality undertook a significant initiative to evaluate and modernize its enterprise resource planning environment. The effort involved far more than selecting new software. Finance, human resources, payroll, procurement, and other municipal functions depended on interconnected business processes, each with its own operational requirements, organizational challenges, and public-service responsibilities.
The municipality needed to assess its existing processes and technology environment, establish requirements for a future ERP platform, evaluate prospective solutions, and prepare the organization for the substantial changes that enterprise modernization would introduce.
With multiple departments, competing priorities, and significant long-term investment decisions at stake, the initiative demanded consulting leadership capable of advising on business operations, enterprise technology, organizational change, and the practical realities of ERP implementation.
Mavendog's Role
Mavendog provided two principal consultants to the municipality's ERP advisory team, contributing business, technology, and organizational change expertise to the planning, evaluation, and selection initiative.
- Organizational Transformation & ERP Advisory: Mavendog advised on solution effectiveness, technology roadmaps, vendor commitments, and the organizational implications of ERP modernization. Our consultant brought substantial expertise in enterprise technology, finance, operations, and organizational change, helping assess whether proposed solutions aligned with business objectives, identifying adoption challenges, and recommending approaches to mitigate implementation and organizational risks.
- Enterprise Business Process & Technology Advisory: Mavendog also contributed leadership across business process analysis, cross-functional requirements, and ERP solution evaluation. Our consultant advised on complex operational processes, the relationship between business requirements and technology capabilities, and the development of process maps and solution requirements. This work helped inform the municipality's evaluation of prospective ERP platforms and their ability to accommodate enterprise business needs.
Mavendog's involvement brought practical business and technology judgment to a critical stage of the municipality's modernization initiative. The engagement demonstrates our ability to help organizations make consequential ERP decisions before implementation begins, addressing not only the technology being selected, but the business and organizational changes required to make it successful.
