CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — November 6, 2023 — Mavendog announced today the elevation of Roger Hopper to Vice President and Chief of Staff, where he will serve as a trusted advisor to the President and an executive liaison for Mavendog internal and delivery personnel. One of the original Mavendog leaders, Roger joined the firm in 2017 as a Director of Recruiting and HR. He helped lay the groundwork for Mavendog Human Resources, Talent Management, and Administrative policy and related processes, as well as business development.

This promotion is in support of a gradual, company re-organization and related, 2024 growth strategy. The re-org will allow the company to better support the consultant team, existing client base, and overall business development strategy. For Roger in particular, he will continue to oversee consultant/Affiliate recruiting and to provide account management for select clients. He will also have a hand in upgrading our talent acquisition and business development capabilities and personnel.

Roger is also available to clients as a consultative resource for Chief of Staff services on a contract basis.

Roger is a former Soldier in the Virginia Army National Guard where he worked in legal operations, Human Resources (personnel), and recruiting. He has also worked with Capital One and New York Life. He is an expert in strategic planning, risk management, emergency preparedness, and disaster recovery, having implemented related strategies in both the military and private sector. He holds a Masters degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelors from Hampden-Sydney College.
