CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — May 31, 2024 — A good day and summer to our friends, colleagues, and clients! Thank you for reading our semi-annual founder message — a recap of our year to date, along with our impressions of the market and project world.
To cap off the first half, we must start by celebrating Mavendog’s selection for the Inc. 5000 2024 list. We learned this exciting news yesterday. The official announcement (and our spot in the rankings) will be unveiled August 13th. The Inc. 5000 recognizes the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the United States. It is amazing feat and award that we had hoped for (albeit a little sooner than 2024… thanks COVID…). But it is a great feather in the cap of our team, and the clients who have supported and stuck with us from the beginning. Mavendog is unequivocally a small business success story — a bright light in our community; a stable asset to our clients; and fantastic source of opportunity for independent consultants. I am proud of what this brand represents, and what we have built over the last 8 years.
As for 2024 itself, it has so far been a solid year, with net revenue forecasts above 2023 levels. But it’s not without its bumps. There have been external headwinds, which we expected – a contentious election year, growing global instability, and economic strains from higher interest rates and stubborn inflation. They have created a challenging demand environment for clients, particularly throughout Q1. Nevertheless, the economic outlook for the 2nd half of 2024 looks stable. The Deloitte Global Economics Research Center published its latest US Economic Forecast for Q2, citing greater stabilization through the rest of 2024 and further optimism for growth in 2025.
We also expect the coming months to be a harbinger of a promising 2025. And Mavendog could not be better positioned to support, having made calculated investments in staff, marketing, and technology. More importantly, we can continue to point to our deep-rooted reputation of seeing projects through. I am proud of our consultants and their daily grind and commitment to their clients and project engagements.
